Apparel design & production is something that has always spoken to me. The more things I make the more I fall in love with each part of the process and its limitations. This drop a decision was made to take a more hands-on approach, with every single item being meticulously crafted by hand in my garage. The primary focus throughout this process was on ensuring that the end product delivered to you, would be of the utmost quality.
Each garment in this collection has undergone a unique printing and tagging process, all done in-house. The crewneck and tee have been adorned using the CMYK process halftone printing technique. This involves the intricate layering of four halftone color images in a specific sequence, resulting in a visually captivating and complex design. It is a precise process that, when subjected to the occasional human error, yields a print that is truly one-of-a-kind.
Embracing Wabi-Sabi, these imperfections that may arise during the printing process are not seen as flaws but rather as enhancements that contribute to the individuality and character of each piece. These subtle nuances serve to make each item in this collection truly unique and imbued with a sense of authenticity that sets them apart from mass-produced garments. Its all apart of the research and development while being a subtle nod to old school printmaking processes.

When it comes to the Forward Thinking collection, simplicity meets quality in a harmonious blend that captures attention. The anorak emerges as the star of the show in this lineup, boasting a sleek black half-zip design crafted from nylon, making it both waterproof and stylish. The addition of plastisol low cure poly ink adds a touch of sophistication that truly makes it stand out. It's the kind of piece that elicits a chef's kiss of approval for its impeccable design.
The work shirts in this collection are a testament to durability and functionality. These basic tees are designed to withstand tough tasks and hard work, thanks to their sturdy construction and quality fit. The heavier fabric not only ensures longevity but also provides a sense of comfort that boosts confidence. Completing the ensemble is the crew neck, a deliberate choice to diverge from the typical hoodie style and add a different dimension to the collection. By opting for a creme color palette in contrast to the previous faded bone hues, the overall aesthetic is refreshed and rejuvenated. This subtle shift in color scheme adds depth and variety, creating a more dynamic range of options for the discerning fashion enthusiast.
Paying Attention to Details
With each new release, I make a conscious effort to pay attention to small details such as packaging and stickers in order to enhance the designs and brand. This time, I introduced custom carpenter's pencils as a complimentary gift with every Forward Thinking purchase. This is an idea I had been wanting to execute for a while, but finding the right way to produce them was a challenge. Therefore, we decided to create them in-house. Although these pencils may seem insignificant and not everyone may notice them, they symbolize the endless possibilities of creation. Everything starts with an idea.
